Gastonia, N.C. – Dominion Energy crews will be conducting inspections of natural gas infrastructure beginning at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 7 and advises motorists to avoid traveling near the intersection of I-40 and Sweeten Creek Road. Traffic control will be present to reroute two northbound lanes into one lane headed north.
If inspection activities extend beyond Sunday, Dominion Energy will work to reduce impact on traffic flow. Dominion Energy urges motorists traveling in the area to exercise caution or find an alternative travel route.
Travelers can use the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Traveler Information Management System to receive real-time information on NCDOT maintained roadways.
