GASTONIA, N.C. (Sept. 4, 2018) – PSNC Energy is encouraging all seasonal gas customers to reconnect their natural gas service ahead of the scheduling rush that typically coincides with the first sign of cooler temperatures across North Carolina.
Customers who delay reconnecting service until that initial cold snap of the season may experience longer wait times due to the significant rise in scheduling requests when temperatures start to fall.
“Even though the temperatures are still quite warm, now is the perfect time to go online or call to schedule an appointment,” said Terina Cronin, PSNC Energy General Manager of Customer Service. “Customers who reconnect now will be one step ahead of the weather and ready to warm their homes when that first chilly morning arrives unexpectedly.”
By reconnecting service in the late summer or early fall, customers’ homes will be heat-ready before cold temperatures arrive. Seasonal customers can schedule a service reconnection appointment in the following ways:
Seasonal customers may also prefer to keep their natural gas service active year-round to avoid the need for a service appointment during what can be a very busy time of year.
“As families gear up for a busy fall, keeping your natural gas service active will result in one less thing on the to-do list when temperatures start to change,” Cronin added. “We want our customers to enjoy all the benefits of natural gas, especially the comfort and convenience it provides.”
