SCE&G Outage Text Messaging Usage Terms
SCE&G Outage Text Messaging is a standard rate SMS service which allows SCE&G customers to opt-in to report electric power outages and receive updates about the status of electric power outages. SCE&G customers will see the Call to Action (CTA) via the SCE&G website, and other printed promotional materials (http://www.sceg.com/en/terms-and-conditions). CTA will instruct SCE&G customers to register for the text messaging service by texting REG [Account Number] [Nickname] (i.e. REG 0000000000000 HOME) to GOSCEG (467234). SCE&G customers can enroll in the text messaging service via their online SCE&G account by logging into their account at www.sceg.com.
After registration, SCE&G customers will be able to text OUT to GOSCEG (467234) to report an electric power outage to SCE&G, and/or text other commands (including NICK, STATUS, STOP, DEREG, INFO, OUT CANCEL, HELP, etc.) to manage electric power outage text updates from SCE&G. This program is a standard rate service. Message and data rates may apply.
You will not receive any unsolicited messages from SCE&G through this short code.
