We take your projected bills for the next 12 months and spread that amount into 12 equal payments which will be your monthly Budget Billing payment.
For each of the next 12 months, your bill will show your actual usage, your total amount due, and your special budgeted amount. You simply pay this amount.
Usually, your monthly budget billing amount will not change during the year. However, we do monitor your account to prevent large billing balances from accruing. Some circumstances in which an adjustment to your budget amount may be necessary include:
- Your billing rate changes.
- You add or eliminate equipment resulting in dramatic increases or reductions in your energy usage.
- Your usage changes significantly due to weather abnormalities.
After 12 months (anniversary), we'll recalculate your bill based on your actual usage.
- If the total amount you paid during the 12 month period is less than your actual billing amount (you owe us), then you can either pay the difference in full or have the difference added to your recalculated budget amount for the next 12 months.
- If the total amount you paid is more than your actual billing amount (we owe you), then we'll apply the overage to your recalculated budget amount for the next 12 months.
