Dec. 6, 2004 - Raleigh, N.C. - The holiday season will be a little brighter this year for some area families because of the generosity of PSNC Energy employees. The company’s “Good Neighbor” Fund Christmas Project will provide gifts of food and toys to local families just in time for Christmas. Food bags will be assembled and distributed by PSNC Energy employees on Tuesday, Dec. 7. The process of assembling the food bags begins at 9 a.m. at the company’s Energy Center at 901 East Chatham Street in Cary.
“Our employees want to help families in our communities who are struggling,” said Leslie Eudy, PSNC Energy operations assistant and Good Neighbor Fund board member. “This project gives us an opportunity to reach out to our neighbors in need during the holiday season.”
The Good Neighbor Fund Christmas Project is sponsored by the company’s Good Neighbor Fund. Throughout the year, the Good Neighbor Fund provides financial assistance to help families cover mortgage payments, rent payments, doctor bills or buy prescribed medications. The Good Neighbor Fund is funded by employee contributions, and all donations go directly to those in need.
