Feb. 6, 2004 - Gastonia, N.C. - A Web site offering more than 6,000 pages of information to assist small business and commercial customers is now available on PSNC Energy's Web site at www.sbrc.psncenergy.com.

PSNC Energy launched the Small Business Resource Center (SBRC) on its Web site Feb. 1. The site provides information on everything from human resources to marketing, the latest business news, reference libraries and more.

In addition to the SBRC, PSNC Energy small business and commercial customers also now have 24-hour access to their account information. Businesses can review account listings, payment information, consumption detail, rate detail and other information by signing in at www.psncenergy.com.

The new online services are in addition to PSNC Energy's existing customer service line designated specifically for small business and commercial accounts. If these customers have questions about their accounts, they will continue to have the option of calling 1-800-545-4427 during normal business hours.

"We have more than 37,000 commercial customers on our system, which is a significant part of our business," said Steve Bowen, corporate manager for residential and commercial sales at PSNC Energy.

"We believe the introduction of our new Web-based services will help these business customers manage their accounts better and provide them with information that can assist them in their day-to-day operations."

PSNC Energy is franchised to serve a 28-county service area in North Carolina and distributes natural gas to approximately 395,000 winter-peak customers in 96 cities and communities including the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill areas in the north central part of the state; the Concord, Statesville, Gastonia, and Forest City areas in the Piedmont; and the Asheville, Hendersonville, Brevard, and Sylva areas in the western part of the state. More information about PSNC Energy is available through the company's web site at www.psncenergy.com.
