Heat Care Fund - Give the Gift of Comfort
Your dollar a month to Heat Care could keep a family warm this winter.

Each night, in your community, there are children who go to bed cold because their families can’t afford to heat their homes. That’s why PSNC Energy sponsors The Salvation Army Heat Care Fund, a program that provides funds to help people pay their heating bills.

How can I help?
By signing up for Heat Care, you can help families stay warm for as little as a dollar a month. The money you contribute will provide direct assistance to those struggling to pay their heating bill – regardless of the type of fuel they use.

How are the fund administered?
All the money contributed to the Heat Care Fund is administered solely by The Salvation Army. Funds are distributed by local Salvation Army agencies to needy residents living in PSNC Energy’s service territory. More than $1 million has been disbursed since the program began in 1983.

What role does PSNC Energy play in Heat Care?
PSNC Energy is in its 25th year of sponsoring The Salvation Army Heat Care Fund. This fall, PSNC Energy is kicking off the heating season with a $40,000 donation to the fund. As contributions are made by customers and the general public, PSNC Energy will match 50 cents for every $1 contribution for a maximum match of an additional $20,000.

How do I contribute?
Download a Heat Care contribution form, make your contribution election and mail the form to the address below. If you choose to make an ongoing donation, your next PSNC Energy bill will indicate the amount you plan to donate each month. This amount will be added to your PSNC Energy bills. If you choose to make a one-time contribution or if you are not a PSNC Energy customer, please include a separate check, payable to The Salvation Army Heat Care Fund, with your completed form. All donations are tax deductible. Again, mail your Heat Care form to:
