This Service is available to Rate Schedule No. 150 or 180 customers who have installed operable alternate fuel capabilities on those occasions when PSNC Energy has Gas that it can not sell or transportation service that it cannot provide pursuant to its other Rate Schedules containing fixed rates; PSNC Energy may require Customers to demonstrate that their alternate fuel capabilities are able to operate prior to providing service under this Rate Schedule. This Rate Schedule is designed to permit PSNC Energy to sell such gas or transportation service. All sales under this Rate Schedule are provided only in accordance with PSNC Energy's guidelines as may be revised from time to time.
All gas or transportation service purchased pursuant to this Rate Schedule shall be measured separately from any Gas purchased or transported under any of PSNC Energy's other Rate Schedules. Service under this Rate Schedule is temporary and PSNC Energy has the right to discontinue such Service on two hours' notice. Service under this Rate Schedule will be provided at PSNC Energy's sole discretion.
In order to receive Service under Rate No. 160, customers must maintain separately metered Accounts for each type of alternate fuel. On any given Account, all equipment must be able to accept 100% curtailment on two hours' notice and be capable of burning the same type of alternate fuel. In case of non-compliance with a curtailment order, PSNC Energy shall have the right to valve off Service when it is necessary in PSNC Energy's sole opinion to protect Service to higher margin customers.
Customers shall pay PSNC Energy for all gas or transportation services supplied under this Rate Schedule at a rate determined prior to delivery plus the Facilities Charge applicable to the rate under which the customers are normally served.
To establish service for an Account under Rate Schedule No.160, please fully complete the "Alternate Fuel Price Information" form. Fax the form and your most recent alternate fuel billing invoice (specific to the Account) to PSNC Energy at
704-834-6555. The invoice should include the type and grade of alternate fuel, the number of gallons delivered, and location of the delivery. PSNC Energy must receive the completed form and invoice copy no later than 2 p.m. on the Rate 160 nomination deadline day.
Rate 160 service may be the first gas curtailed during a curtailment period. It is available only to customers who have the installed capabilities to burn alternate fuel, are able to withstand TOTAL curtailment, and who meet the conditions stated on Rate Schedule Numbers 150, 160 and 180. If an emergency occurs when the Account is under curtailment, please immediately notify Tina Thombs at
1-800-222-1034 or 704-834-6338. Any unauthorized gas usage during periods of curtailment will be charged at the currently effective unauthorized gas rate, in addition to the regular energy charge for such Gas. Please be sure that this information is communicated internally to all appropriate personnel.
If PSNC Energy determines that Rate 160 service cannot be provided, customers will be notified promptly after 2 p.m. on the deadline day by phone or fax. PSNC Energy will not be able to provide Rate 160 service if the required information is incomplete, received after the deadline, or does not reflect a current alternate fuel price in effect between the 25th of the current month and the first day of the following month.
An Alternate Fuel Price form should be submitted to PSNC Energy only for the months that you choose the alternate fuel matching option for your account.
